Lacrosse the Nations (LtN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization using lacrosse to improve education and health, while creating opportunity and hope for children around the world.

TEAMS FORM A SPECIAL BOND WHEN THEY COME TOGETHER TO CREATE COLLECTIVE IMPACT.

Our Team Trips Program provides an opportunity for college, club, and high school lacrosse teams to visit us on the ground and get involved directly in our programs.  A visit to our international programs is the best way to see the power our sport has to create sustainable change in children’s lives. It provides athletes and their coaches with a chance to immerse themselves in a new culture, keep up with their sport in off season, and get to know one another from a completely new perspective.

An LtN trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity for teams to build chemistry while working towards a common goal that is bigger than the individual. Throughout your trip week, your players will develop their leadership skills and discover a new-found connection to the places lacrosse can take them.

Throughout your trip week, you will:

  • Assist in coaching our youth lacrosse programs each day

  • Complete a community service project with our partner schools

  • Reflect on challenging humanitarian topics as a team

  • Learn a new language and make connections with an international community

  • Leave with an unforgettable experience, new found perspectives, and lifelong friendships

Our approach

Our mission is to improve the lives of children around the world. Lacrosse is our tool. Our programs use the lacrosse field as a platform to teach students valuable life skills and improve education, while ultimately bringing joy to their lives - and YOU can be a part of it. LtN is not just a sport-focused nonprofit, our holistic approach includes:

PHYSICAL EDUCATION & SPORT

Our life skills curriculum focuses on the traits and values that we as athletes learn through playing sports—often outside the specifics of the game. These include work ethic, motivation, response to failure, teamwork, confidence, and self-awareness.

 LIFE SKILLS CURRICULUM

Our daily lacrosse practices provide recreational spaces and physical health instruction that children in our communities lack.  Lacrosse not only offers a platform to practice personal wellness, it also provides students with stability, consistency and strong role models.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Our programs work to increase school attendance and improve graduation rates in the communities where we work. LtN provides annual scholarships at all levels for both coaches and student-athletes, along with safe spaces, materials and guidance to complete homework after school.
