Each month we recognize individuals who have done an outstanding job embodying our mission and core values as a Lacrosse the Nations Ambassador. These individuals have engaged their lacrosse community as ‘ambassadors of hope’ to invite them to join with us as LtN Team Partners. We would like to thank and recognize them for the ways they are using the power and unity of the game to serve those in need.

July 2011
Jenna McCabe and Justin Simon
We are extremely grateful for Jenna and Justins efforts as they spread the word about LtN and inspire youth lacrosse players to think more about the reasons we play lacrosse and the and the opportunities we are lucky to have. Justin and Jenna have spent the summer working different lacrosse camps in New England and speaking to campers about our kids in Nicaragua who love the game just as much as they do! Please read their bios about getting involved in LtN!

How did you first hear about LTN?:
I first heard about LtN in detail from LtN activists, Justin Simon(co-ambassador of the month) and from Dave Campbell.
Why did you decide to become an LtN ambassador?
I have become an LtN ambassador because I have always loved helping to spread the sport that has been my life passion. It has been amazing using my passion to reach out in hopes to better someone else’s life.
What was your favorite part of your team partnership experience?
My team has just begun to become involved, but from the first instance I shared LtN with them, they have been hooked and want to help in any way possible. New Hampton school faculty have also been great contributors. I emailed the faculty to ask for donations of shoes, clothing, and books to bring down in June when I was lucky to join Carrie, Dave, and Justin. I carried 110 lbs of donations to give to the children of La Chureca because of NHS’ faculty generosity.
Through coaching at various lacrosse camps this summer and last, I have been able to spread the word of the great mission of LtN with others who share the passion of lacrosse. Middle school and high school players at every camp are eager to get involved in any way. It is awesome to see more and more coaches, players, and parents sporting wristbands, tshirts, and shoelaces because they support LtN.
How has being a part of Lacrosse the Nations impacted or changed you? How has it impacted or changed your team?
LtN has given my team another reason to value the sport of lacrosse and be ready and open to help others whenever possible.
I feel so fortunate to have become a part of LtN to share the sport with others. Lacrosse as a sport teaches and values respect, hard work, and compassion. To be a part of giving that to others in hopes it can better their life is a special experience.
Thank you Lacrosse the Nations.

Through Brad and Dave Campbell while I spent some time working at middlebury.
Why did you decide to become an LtN ambassador?
Being on 5 trips now, its been amazing being able to spread the sport I love and give back at the same time.
What was your favorite part of your team partnership experience?
Team bonding. It’s exciting to see my team and their families get excited about giving back and helping others.
How has being a part of Lacrosse the Nations impacted or changed you? How has it impacted or changed your team?
LtN has helped open my eyes as well as my teams to something that is greater than the sport. It has made them more grateful for the things they have in their respective lives.
