Worthington Kilbourne’s inspired efforts for LtN

Players from two Ohio high school lacrosse teams, Olentangy Liberty and Worthington Kilbourne, were privileged to have Greg Bice attend practice and tell about his personal experiences in Nicaragua with Lacrosse the Nations. Also, Kilbourne player, Jake Roberts shared about his amazing recent trip to the School of Hope in La Chureca, Nicaragua.  After hearing Jake and Greg’s stories, team members were anxious to jump in and help the LtN cause so they spent the next several weeks sharing the good news about LtN with their friends and family.  The players and coaches asked folks to pledge donations in a “Scoop for Loot” program to support LtN.

On April 20th, donations were turned in at our very own Lacrosse the Nations Night!  The player from each team who collected the highest amount of donations was awarded a brand new STX lacrosse stick / head at a half time during the game!  It was an awesome night to celebrate!  The Kilbourne team wore gray Lacrosse the Nations t-shirts and the Olentangy Liberty players wore blue LtN t-shirts both to warm up before the game and in photos taken at the end of the game.  In addition, Coaches and players alike were wearing LtN’s bright orange shoelaces to show their unity for Lacrosse the Nations.  Fans were able to learn more about the amazing accomplishments of LtN and buy t-shirts at the information booth.  We want to thank Greg Bice, Anthoney Kelly and Tom Pendry for sharing their enthusiasm for LtN and attending our Lacrosse the Nations Night.  Seeing these two teams work together to support the important efforts of LtN was fantastic.  Through our fundraising efforts we were able to partner with LtN and support those in need around the world!

thanks,
